Gala Day at Pine Crest Orchard is only a few days away. January 28 is our Gala Day with the launch of the new apple season. Lots of fruit to pick. Yes you can pick your own fruit. No entrance fee you just pay for what you pick all for $3.50/kg. As well as apples there are peaches, plums, pears and nectarines. A free sausage sizzle and activities for children make it a fun day for all and you can take away a car load of fresh fruit.

We have over 70 different varieties of deciduous fruits that ripen between now and May so there is something to pick each week for the next 4 months. Apple varieties include Jonathan, Deliciouus, Fuji, Granny Smith and Pink Lady which is the last to ripen in mid April. So feel free to wander through the orchard and learn the difference between a Persimmon and Quince tree.
